Church School Gift Matching: Committed to fostering the outreach efforts of our youth, we will once again match all the dollars that the children collect in Church School for their designated giving. Committed $300 in matching funds.
Beacon Place: Bridges Education and Community Needs. Beacon Place has been established as a way to provide families with a “HAND UP” – with a critical “Give Back” component that creates a sense of ownership and pride in their accomplishments. $1000 gift awarded. http://beacon-place.org

Zacharias Center Mission is to provide a place where survivors of sexual assault and abuse can heal and mobilize the community toward action to end violence. $2000 gift. http://zcenter.org
Seeing Eye: Mission is to enhance the independence, dignity, and self-confidence of blind people through the use of Seeing Eye® dogs.Shirley, who attends UCLB, is a Seeing Eye dog in training; living with the Jantsch Family in Lake Bluff. $500 gift http://www.seeingeye.org
Feed My Starving Children: Is a non-profit Christian organization committed to feeding God’s children hungry in body and spirit. The approach is simple: children and adults hand-pack meals specifically formulated for malnourished children, and we ship the meals to nearly 70 countries around the world. $2000 gift. http://www.fmsc.org
Living Your Faith Scholarship: Provides grants for church members who wish to fulfill their spiritual journey on a more personal level. In the past the scholarship has helped members go on hands on outreach trips, charity fund raising trips, and build awareness of grass roots organizations helping others. Contact any committee member for more information on how this program can help you deepen your spiritual journey. $2000 gift available, not awarded.
Work Trip: Gift given to work trip to aid in the cost of traveling to Eldon, MO. $2000 gift awarded.
PADS Lunches: $1000 set aside to cover the cost of providing lunch making supplies for the PADS shelter throughout 2018.
Food Pantry: $1000 set aside to cover the cost of special requests received from local food pantries when their shelves are running low on supplies. http://coolministries.org
Nuestro Center: $500 in support of homework and counseling programs in Highwood for our latino neighbors.
Prayer Shawl Ministry: many of us have requested, or benefited, from the love woven by our in-house knitters and their prayer shawls. We set aside $300 to purchase yarn. Comfort and prayers are spread far and wide.
Lake County Haven received $500 to empower homeless women and children to achieve permanent, independent living.
