NEW POSITION: Office Support @ Union Church
We are seeking candidates for a part-time administrative position (approximately 10 hours/week, with flexibility). Ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, well-developed interpersonal skills, solid basic computer skills (email, Microsoft Office Suite, et cetera). A propensity to learn new computer skills is desired. If you are a self-starter that enjoys a fun, supportive multi-tasking environment with flexible hours, we encourage you to apply. - Fielding direct information, inquiries to responsible Church Officer or Pastor.
- Maintaining and updatujng filing, inventory, mailing and database systems.
- Maintaining and operating office tech.
- Opening, sorting and routing incoming mail, answer correspondence and prepare outgoing mail.
- Monitoring bills, contracts, policies, invoices and checks.
Responsible for much of the office’s paperwork, routine operations, as well as support for seasonal flow of tasks inherent to church activity. This includes support for such activities as the annual fall kick-off event, various Advent and Lenten seasonal activities, programming wrap-up in spring, as well as annual work trip planning and coordination.
Serve as very part-time office manager. Proficiency needed with basic computer programs (Office Suite,WordPress, QuickBooks) and adaptability to learn new/upgraded systems. Organize and prioritize as necessary. Report to and work under general supervision of the Chairs of Elders and Trustees and Pastors. Coordinate and communicate with additional Staff. Expect considerable autonomy and some ability to work remotely. Manage communications with volunteers.
Keep an eye on and order office supplies. Ensure that office equipment is fully functional, and make sure that facilities are stocked. Gather and distribute mail, work with third-party vendors to coordinate tasks, and provide general support for volunteer church Officers and Staff.
