Annual Work Trips are now a long-standing tradition for our church family. Whether folks are supporting the trips financially or are on-site and sweating, the shared experience is the discovery of the joy that is there in helping others.
On our most recent Work Trip, in June 2019, more than 40 young people and adults from UCLB spent five days in Berea, Kentucky, helping others.
We completely rehabbed the home of three elderly sisters.
We designed and built a deck so that a man with dementia issues could safely enjoy being outside.
We rebuilt the entire front deck, handicapped ramp, and the roof over the deck for another family.
Finally, our artistic folks painted some incredible murals in the elementary school library.
